The Pillar Position

The Real Influencer

The TikTok creator is not the influencer. Neither is the algorithm. The real influencer is older.

The TikTok creator whose face you see is not the influencer. The Instagram personality you follow is not the influencer. The algorithm that surfaces them to you is not the influencer either.

The real influencer is older.

The Catholic tradition has had a name for the unseen forces moving humanity toward sin since the second century of the Church. The classical demonology, refined and named definitively by the German bishop Peter Binsfeld in 1589, identified seven specific princes of Hell — each ruling one of the Seven Deadly Sins, each operating through the channels available to it in any given age.

The channels available in 2026 are the most efficient channels these princes have ever had. The smartphone is not the temptation. The smartphone is the channel through which the seven princes are now permitted to reach you continuously, calibrated by what is known about you, delivered at the precise moment your defences are weakest.

"For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places."Ephesians 6:12

The visible influencer is a vehicle. Some know it. Most do not. The Catholic and Christian traditions are unified on what the response must be: name the prince operating, name the sin being placed, refuse the consent the operation requires, and call on the Watcher whose office is the protective opposite.

A direct word to the reader

The seven princes named below are not metaphors. The Catholic Church, in its continuous teaching since the patristic age, treats them as real principalities — not literally bound to fixed personalities, but real spiritual forces with specific offices that the wise reader must learn to name. Naming is half the protection. The other half is the calling of the angel who answers each prince by name.

The Seven Princes, named

Each prince below has its own page in this cluster. Each names the operation, the diagnostic, the scripture, the countermanding angel, the paired stone, and the protective working the tradition has preserved for centuries.

Why this matters in 2026

The reader who is being targeted does not need to know which of the seven is operating. The recognition can come slowly. What the reader needs first is the vocabulary — the knowledge that what feels like an ordinary algorithm has, behind its mechanism, the same operations that have moved humanity toward ruin since the gates of Eden closed. With the vocabulary comes the answer. With the answer comes the prayer. With the prayer comes the protection.

This site exists to teach the vocabulary, to name the operations, and to deliver the reader to the answer.

A note on what this page is and is not

This page does not name specific human influencers, platforms, or companies. The Catholic tradition's critique is of the operation, not the operator. The TikTok creator may be a witting agent, an unwitting carrier, or — most often — a person being used in ways they themselves do not understand. The site's editorial position is that the human face on the screen is rarely the source. The source is older.

How to use the pages below

  1. If you suspect a specific sin is operating in your life right now, go directly to that prince's page. Read it slowly. The diagnostic is there.
  2. If you are not sure which sin is most active, read all seven over the next week. One will land harder than the others. That is the operation currently reaching you.
  3. If you are coming here for a friend or family member, the pages can be read at one remove. The countermanding angels can be invoked on behalf of another. The medieval tradition is consistent on this.
  4. If you are not Catholic, the framework still holds. The Seven Princes are recognised across Orthodox, Anglican, Lutheran, and broader Christian tradition. The countermanding angels are venerated across all major monotheistic traditions. The pages are written for the trad-Cath audience but the protection is for anyone who needs it.
